No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All
the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not
be shared with any third parties.

Our Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. At Unsecured Finances, we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the ongoing operation of one of our services.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Unsecured Finances collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. 

Unsecured Finances’ purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Unsecured Finances’ visitors use its website. From time to time, Unsecured Finances may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

Unsecured Finances also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. Unsecured Finances only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Unsecured Finances’ websites choose to interact with Unsecured Finances in ways that require Unsecured Finances to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Unsecured Finances gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. In each case, Unsecured Finances collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Unsecured Finances. Although most changes are likely to be minor, Unsecured Finances may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Unsecured Finances’ sole discretion. Unsecured Finances encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If you have a WordPress.com account, you should also check your blog’s dashboard for alerts to these changes. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.

Comments

Suggested text: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Suggested text: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
